Distant Worlds: System Scale Mod. I was disappointed with how systems were scaled in the default game so I made the systems as big and realistic as the game engine allows (without too many graphical bugs). Now you can watch your fleets duke it out in front of much bigger planets and stars. The Star Trek The Picard Era mod ver. (Haree78 Distant Worlds Extended) I'm using the Extended AI mod with the extra races and wondering about Lipids.
Distant Worlds: System Scale Mod
- Mods integrated: 8 Human Revolution Mankind broke up in many different, yet similar, but competing factions. The Human Revolution mod adds five new races to Distant Worlds and edits one. The standard human race is edited to reflect the background story of this mod, and three more interesting races are also added.
- Distant Worlds is a vast, real-time, 4X space strategy game.

Mod started out as some tweaking of variables of the excellent “A Better System Scale” by banville whilst making it compatible with other mods. I ended up tweaking and experimenting with different setups for an obsessively long amount of time and decided to release the result.

Features.
Vastly increased system size, star, and planet size. More asteroids. Bigger solar flares. Ringworlds and floating debris scaled up and repositioned to match new system size.

Note that whilst systems are scaled up in size ships are not. I personally prefer it this way as ships are small compared to planets. If enough people request it ill make an addon for this mod where ships are scaled up in size. In the mean time if you dont like small ships (you can always zoom in on individual ships in fleets by double clicking them) this is NOT the mod for you.

Bug reporting.
I really don’t want to be THAT guy. However… I will no longer reply to bug reporting posts that do not give me enough information to actually find and fix the bug. If you want me to spend time fixing bugs take the time to specify what the bug is and how I can reproduce it. Also I can’t fix problems that may occur because of the thousands of other mods on the Steam workshop.
If you find a bug, disable all of your other mods and see if it still appears in game. If it doesnt reappear it ain’t my problem. Or at least post what mods you are using with this one so I can try and improve compatibility. About half of the bug reports I have recieved so far have been a bug in another mod. So double check that it’s my mod causing the problem. If it’s another mod causing the issue contact that author. You may of course ask me to make a compatibility patch for you. I may say no but it’s worth an ask.

Updates
v1.1 – Fixed a nasty bug where fleets with warp engines were unable to travel to certain systems. New game required. Sorry! Don’t usually use warp engines so didn’t pick up on this bug on initial release. Thanks for everyone who reported back with info on the bug. It was a weird one for sure!

Bugs:
1. Poles and planet clouds flash at certain zoom distances (bug is in the vanilla game but is less noticable since planets are much smaller). I’ve tried to balance scale and planet size as much as possible so shouldn’t be noticeable unless you look for it.

2. Ships may fly through the top of a star but doesnt happen that often. Frontier outposts may be built inside the largest (purple) stars. Hint: queue up an orbit command before a build frontier outpost command and the outpost is usually built outside the star.
3. Being in one system and switching focus to another ship or spaceport etc in another system causes the camera to move really slowly and then bug out for a few secs before focusing on said unit. How to downgrade teamviewer. Switch to galaxy view beforehand and there are no issues. I have no idea how to fix this bug. At this point I think its unavoidable when system scale is increased beyond default…. Though if someone could prove me wrong it would be much appreciated!
4. After some feedback it appears that the increased scale had made proximity mines kind of useless. Im going to look into it in the next few days and will release an update. Not gamebreaking so just avoid building them for the meantime. Thanks for all the helpful comments on this!

Compatibility:
Mod should override system scale changes made by other mods so you should be good to go. I can’t promise that things will be OK with all of the thousands of mods out there. See my personal mod collection which lists all the mods I use personally for examples of mods that work with this one.

Mods with custom ringworld systems will display incorrectly. See below for a patch for one such mod “DZ Unique Starting Systems”.

Description of Star Trek: The Next Generation - Birth of the Federation Windows
Here is the video game “Star Trek: The Next Generation - Birth of the Federation”! Released in 1999 on Windows, it's still available and playable with some tinkering. It's a strategy game, set in a managerial, sci-fi / futuristic, turn-based, licensed title and 4x themes.

For most of these games I am running them on Windows XP 64 in an Oracle VirtualBox. They run great!

I got it to work with the patch and clicking on the ustrek.exe file. Only issue is that the reaction time to the mouse is painfully slow..

There are still sites like armadafleetcommand who have mods and tweaks for the game.

Hi.. I need to know how to run on Android with Exagear.... I have the ISO Extractor, it works with MDF. I used cracked version to make it stop saying 'NO CD-ROM FILE FOUND!' I think I did it right.... But to be sure... How DO you do it?

So I have the original disk for the game, but it lags like CRAZY on my Windows 10 PC. Any advice as to how to make it work? I haven't really been a PC game guy since the early 2000's so I'm not sure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Got it to launch, but as soon as i went into options or start a new game, the game crashes. I installed using daemon tools lite, then update, then copied cracked file and renamed to trek.exe. Messed with compatibility but no go unfortunately, i think ill stick with Distant Worlds w/ Star Trek Mod thanks.

I've tried burning this to an actual disk in Alcohol 120% format, and I tried converting MDF to ISO. It installed fine, but didn't run. I tried running the game using the 1.02 patch, didn't didn't run. Tried using the NOCD crack included. No dice. I've tried running it under both XP SP3 compatibility mode and 98/Me compatibility.
Any clues on how to get this running?

First of all: I love ancient games, old and a little dusty looking games with outdated graphics but a lot of long term gaming fun.
I wanted to try this one but the game wont start.
I get different feedback after clicking on of three existing exes after extracting and installing (Trek.exe, TREK, ustrek) either I receive 'please put the correct cd-rom into the drive' or 'mss32.dll is missing, reinstall the game might fix that problem'.
Trying to install the patch gets me the feedback to 'first install the main game before patching it' - allthough both are in the same folder.
End of the line: I can't play the game.
Any suggestions or help available?
I tried it regularly (win7) as well as in the XP-mode. Results are identical.. :-(((
